Canberra demonstration

UPDATE (16 Feb 2012): This post is no longer relevant, as unfortunately, this trip to Canberra has been cancelled. See here: Cancellation of Canberra Demonstration.

As was stated in the previous entry posted yesterday (here), ASAVIC will be participating in a demonstration against the Syrian regime in front of the Syrian embassy in Canberra. We promised to keep you updated about any new details. Well we have some for you.

We will be leaving Melbourne at 12 o’clock midnight on Saturday night by bus(es), so that we can make it to Canberra by about 8 AM. We leave from Kmart, Sydney Road, Fawkner (Campbellfield).
The number of buses to leave will be determined by the number of travellers. So if you would like to come along to raise your voice in Canberra, please drop us a line somehow, preferably by emailing us at contact@asavic.org.au, or in any other way you choose. Happily, however,

The trip will be free of charge to all participants!

Our sister organisation – ASA NSW – will be covering the costs of the Melbourne bus hires.

So please let us know, and if you can’t come, let your friends and family know.

Regards,

ASAVIC
